Here are some very important tips for reducing the blog load time.
1. Reduce No. of Posts displayed on Home Page
Your blog load time can be effected by the no. of post displayed on home page. Normally 5-7 posts should be displayed on home page for better performance. More than 7 posts can increase the load time. You can easily reduce the no. of posts on the home page by going to Blogger dashboard > Settings > Posts and Comments. Here is an option of "show at most" where you can set the no. of posts displayed on home page.
2. Minify Javascripts, HTML and CSS
Minification is a process of removing unnecessary data from your blog coded document e.g code comments and formatting, removing unused code etc.

3. Optimize Images of your Blog
Images play an important role in blog loading speed. Large images with large pixels takes more time to load than small images. You should take the following steps for image optimization:
a. Always use the images with Jpeg format.
b. Use alt tags and title tags for images.
c. Never use thumbnails in your blog posts.
d. Make sure that your image size is small but reasonable.
e. Place a caption on your image.
